Windows 7 - A Basic Introduction
Windows 7 - A Basic Introduction
By Hannah Miller
If you are like the majority of computer users, you are using a Windows XP operating system. Even though Microsoft Vista has been released since 2007, more people are still using XP than any other operating system by any company combined. Now, since October 2009, the latest version of the Windows operating systems is Windows 7.
Before XP, Windows released a series called the Windows NT's. Even after they stopped using this name (the last one being Windows NT 4.0) Windows operating systems were still being created with the NT code base. Therefore, Windows 2000 was technically Windows NT 5.0, XP was also known as Windows NT 5.1, and Vista was Windows NT 6.0. In case you wondered where the name came from, Windows 7 is the seventh version of the NT code base operating systems.
Opera - The Turbo Charged Browser
Opera - The Turbo Charged Browser![]()

Opera is a proprietary software provider who has created a variety of tools for online users. The Internet browser is much like Internet Explorer, and serves the same purpose. But there are some significant differences that convinces a small number of Internet users to adopt this new browser in place of IE.
Opera has a great reputation for well-built products and their browser download is much smaller than Internet Explorer. Even on a dial-up connection, the Opera installation file can be downloaded in less than half an hour.
Xbox 360 Game Review - Resident Evil 5
Xbox 360 Game Review - Resident Evil 5
By Vince M. Stevens
Love it or hate it, the one thing you can't blame the Resident Evil series for is a lack of willingness to experiment and expand with the times. After a couple of rather dry sequels, RE4's announcement that the game wouldn't feature any 'true' zombies made a lot of long term fans quite upset. Despite all of the odds, the game actually turned about to be an excellent example of modern survival horror, providing you didn't play it on the Wii or PC.
Resident Evil 5 is set in Africa, somewhat of a unique location as far as the undead are concerned. You play as Chris Redfield chasing a threat of bio-terrorism on the continent which, no surprise, turns people into various types of undead. The plot itself is interesting enough, especially if you're already a fan of the series. If you've never played a Resident Evil game before you can still follow everything with relative ease, although there are a couple of things that might go over your head.
Xbox 360 Game Review - Call of Duty 4
Xbox 360 Game Review - Call of Duty 4
By Vince M. Stevens
Few series in the gaming world have been so varied in terms of quality quite as Call of Duty. Many console owners have only really had experience with 3rd game in the series, an Xbox 360 only installment that was developed by a different company from the original games. Call of Duty 3, while not a terrible game, wasn't a great example of what the series can achieve under the right direction.
Luckily Call of Duty 4 sees a return of developers Infinity Ward and a change of pace for the series. Traditionally set during the Second World War, COD 4 has moved the series forward to the modern day, swapping out the traditional Japanese and Nazi enemies for a more contemporary battlefield focused around terrorism.
