BBC Launches New-Look iPlayer

The BBC today announced the launch of a new beta version of its on-demand website BBC iPlayer, with a fresh new look and functionality to make it simpler, more personal and connected.

Since its 2007 launch, the product has evolved to add radio, live TV channels, HD and functionality such as recommendations. It has been repurposed to work on a range of different devices and platforms – reaching mobile phones, games consoles and internet-connected TVs.

Delivering a record 123m streams of TV and radio programmes in April 2010, it has established itself as a leading digital brand and a pioneer in the fast-moving market for on-demand services.

Dell Announces Streak - 5" Tablet PC

Three UK Announces IPad 3G Charges

Three UK today announced it will offer dedicated data plans for iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G, beginning May 28. All data plans will be available without a contract, providing the freedom to activate or cancel a plan at any time.

Chrome - A Browser For Google Users

If you like Google for its speed and simplicity, you might be interested in their Internet browser, Chrome. Google created Chrome because they wanted to start from scratch on a browser made for today's Internet. The Internet has changed a lot since the first browsers were developed. Chrome is simple and neat, but loaded with security, speed, and functionality features.

Google acknowledges their use of features already implemented on browsers, like Firefox Safari, to design Chrome. Chrome is an open source project, meaning that other can use from their ideas as well. One of the features you'll recognize is bookmarks. You can automatically copy bookmarks or favorites from another browser and instantly save a new bookmark by clicking the star icon next to the address bar. These features are identical to those of Firefox.
